My First Blog - "The Brown Mess"

"The Brown Mess"

by CZT Neha Agrawal

Well Well Well!!! I am super duper excited to write my first blog. I have been thinking about it from a really long time, but now I am finally writing :)

I chose this particular drawing to write about first, as this is very special to me. When I started this drawing I had a completely different vision in my mind. But as I continued with the drawing, it wasn't coming the way I wanted it to. So, I just left it and never looked back at it for almost couple of months!!!

One day while cleaning up my tangled Zentangle mess, I found this incomplete piece. I told myself, why to just waste it, if I have to waste then rather finish and waste :P.

So I started working on it again, but this time I just went with the flow, I let my pen do the talking not my mind.

Honestly, I was not expecting this result but at the end I am pretty happy with it. As they say, "Just go with the flow" and things will fall in place. This is true for all aspects of our lives, Isn't it? What are your thought?

Here are some details about my "Brown Mess" -

Tangles used - Inaflux, Poke-Root, Poke-Leaf, Sand swirl, Tipples, Fescues, Zen-Gems

Paper - Strathmore 400 Series Toned Tan Mixed media 6"x8", 300 GSM Paper

Pens - Black Sakura Micron (01), Brown Sakura Micron (01), Sakura Roller Gelly (03), Charcoal sticks, White charcoal, Graphite pencils

I would love to hear back from you, please leave a comment! :)

  3. Wow Neha ... This is amazing. Loved "Just go with the flow". That's so true. Sometimes the best of the creativity happens when we try not to fit-in the creation within set of conventional rules and when we try it free-flowing.
