Zentangle, no, Doodle!!!! Oh, What is it!!??

 I have been teaching Zentangle since 2017, have met several people, artists, across the world. One common thing I always hear - " Oh! You do doodling!". And then, the Zentangle artist in me gets vexed from inside, LoL, and in a very polite way I answer - "I am a Zentangle artist. Doodling and Zentangle are not same!!!" Like you use a brush and a paint for paintings, that doesn't mean the oils and water colors and acrylics are the same. Similarly, for example, you cannot say Jazz Funk is same as Hip-Hop just because that's dance, there is a difference!  Similarly, there is a difference between  Zentangle and Doodling! Zentangle, as the name suggests is a Meditative art form, a state of mindfulness. It is a fun way to create beautiful abstract art by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles. My First Blog - "The Brown Mess"

  "The Brown Mess" by CZT Neha Agrawal Well Well Well!!! I am super duper excited to write my first blog. I have been thinking about it from a really long time, but now I am finally writing :) I chose this particular drawing to write about first, as this is very special to me. When I started this drawing I had a completely different vision in my mind. But as I continued with the drawing, it wasn't coming the way I wanted it to. So, I just left it and never looked back at it for almost couple of months!!! One day while cleaning up my tangled Zentangle mess, I found this incomplete piece. I told myself, why to just waste it, if I have to waste then rather finish and waste :P.  So I started working on it again, but this time I just went with the flow, I let my pen do the talking not my mind.  Honestly, I was not expecting this result but at the end I am pretty happy with it.
